Le mois prochain, Frightened Rabbit rééditera L'hiver des boissons mixtes en l'honneur de son 10e anniversaire.
La sortie en vinyle uniquement comprendra un 12 pouces contenant le troisième album original du groupe et un 7 pouces comprenant deux versions live de chansons du LP. Le premier, "The Wrestle", a été tiré d'un concert de 2010 au Grog Shop de Cleveland, tandis que "Things" a été enregistré au Roundhouse de Londres en 2016.
Dans une déclaration sur Twitter, les rockers indépendants écossais ont déclaré: «L'hiver des boissons mixtes, maintenant 10 ans, est un cocktail d'émotions pour nous », ajoutant:« Peut-être que grâce à cela, nous trouverons tous un peu de légèreté pour nous aider à traverser l'un des hivers les plus sombres.
Parlant du 7 pouces inclus, Frightened Rabbit a déclaré avoir choisi les deux enregistrements en direct pour «refléter le temps dans lequel nous vivons tous et l'importance des gens par rapport aux choses», et a spécifiquement mentionné l'influence durable du leader Scott Hutchison, décédé par suicide en 2018. «Les paroles de Scott sont toujours profondément ancrées dans les gens et c'est la chanson qu'il était probablement le plus fier d'écrire et qu'il aimait jouer en live.
L'hiver des boissons mixtes La réédition anniversaire est officiellement sortie le 10 décembre. Les précommandes ont commencé.
La réédition arrive un peu plus d'un an après Petits changements: une célébration du combat d'orgue de minuit, une compilation qui a honoré à la fois le travail de Hutchison et le 10e anniversaire du deuxième album L'organe de combat de minuit. Il comprenait des reprises de Lauren Mayberry de CHVRCHES, Ben Gibbard, Aaron Dessner du National, Craig Finn de The Hold Steady, Julien Baker, et plus encore.
